Many moons ago, in 1998, I was recovering from injuries sustained in a car accident. I had a broken hip, injured back and knee, and facial lacerations, and was not walking under my own power unaided for almost a year. Forced to stay at home, I discovered eBay. I started listing household items, toys that the kids were through with, as well as personal goods like clothing and shoes to pass the time. I was able to get rid of stuff we didn't need from previous residences after a major move into our current home, turn it into cash and make the kids a few bucks too for their savings accounts. It kept me busy and occupied all day, made us a little money, and accomplished the de-cluttering goal.
Lately, after years of babying the damaged back and hip, yet getting around pretty well, my multiple problems have become chronic and I am finding myself at home most of the time now. So eBay to the rescue once again! I started listing some of my vast shoe collection today. I have quite a nice list growing... I will continue to list and find my gorgeous girly gang of shoes new homes!
Truth be told, as much as I loved buying and owning these lovely shoes (I'm a shoe addict, I confess!) I can't wear many of them and probably won't ever be able to again. High 3 1/2 to 5 inch stiletto heels, delicate strappy sandals, pointy toes, wood platforms, these all are the stuff of fond memories. The highest shoe I can now wear is about 2 1/2 inches, preferably a wedge, lightweight and comfortable. I really love athletic shoes and low boots best.
So it helps me pass the time and endure the gray, cold, rainy, sleety NE Atlantic Coast Winter.
My name on eBay is Lynmoy if you wear an 8 or 8.5 and want some great shoe bargains.
